At Kalpanaad Music Academy, we are committed to providing high-quality music education and ensuring transparency in all our financial transactions. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds, cancellations, and fee adjustments are processed for our various offerings, including online courses, in-person classes, workshops, event registrations, and digital products [citation:1][citation:9].

Online Courses & Programs

Self-Paced Online Courses

For our self-paced online courses, we offer the following refund terms [citation:2][citation:4]:

• Within 7 days of access: Full refund minus a non-refundable processing fee of ₹500 (or 10% of course fee, whichever is lower). You must not have completed more than 30% of the course content [citation:2].
• After 7 days or 30% completion: No refund will be issued. You will continue to have access to the course for the duration specified at the time of purchase [citation:6].
• Technical issues: If you experience technical difficulties that prevent access to the course, please contact our support team within 3 days of purchase. We will work to resolve the issue. If we cannot provide access within 7 days, a full refund will be issued [citation:8].

Live Online Classes (Batch Mode)

For instructor-led live online classes that run on a scheduled batch basis [citation:3]:

• Cancellation 14+ days before batch start: Full refund minus a ₹750 processing fee [citation:8][citation:10].
• Cancellation 7-13 days before batch start: 75% refund of the course fee.
• Cancellation 3-6 days before batch start: 50% refund of the course fee.
• Cancellation within 48 hours of batch start: No refund, but you may transfer to the next available batch (subject to availability) [citation:5].
• After batch starts: No refunds once classes have commenced [citation:1][citation:9].

Processing fees are non-refundable and cover administrative costs, payment gateway charges, and platform access setup [citation:6].

In-Person Classes & Private Lessons

Regular Batch Classes

For our in-person group classes conducted at our Lucknow facility [citation:5]:

• Registration fee: A one-time registration fee of ₹1,000 is non-refundable under any circumstances [citation:7].
• Monthly/Quarterly fees: Fees are payable in advance. If you withdraw before the term begins, a full refund (minus registration fee) will be issued [citation:9].
• After term begins: No refunds for missed classes or early withdrawal once the term has commenced [citation:1][citation:5].
• Make-up classes: If you miss a class, you may request one make-up class per month subject to availability. No refunds are provided for missed sessions [citation:3].

Private One-on-One Lessons

• Package purchases (4/8/12 lessons): Full refund for unused lessons if cancelled within 7 days of purchase. After 7 days, refunds for unused lessons are subject to a 20% cancellation fee [citation:6].
• Individual lesson booking: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged in full [citation:5].
• Teacher cancellation: If a teacher cancels a lesson, it will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time. If rescheduling is not possible, a refund for that lesson will be issued [citation:5].

Workshops, Masterclasses & Events

For special events, workshops, and masterclasses conducted by visiting artists [citation:1]:

• Cancellation 14+ days before event: Full refund minus a ₹500 processing fee.
• Cancellation 7-13 days before event: 50% refund of the registration fee.
• Cancellation within 7 days of event: No refund will be issued [citation:1][citation:4].
• Event cancellation by Kalpanaad: If we cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances (low enrollment, artist unavailability, etc.), you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a rescheduled date [citation:8][citation:10].

Tickets purchased for concerts and performances are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the event is cancelled by the academy [citation:9].

Digital Products & Materials

For digital products purchased through our website [citation:6]:

• Downloadable content (e-books, sheet music, audio recordings): All sales are final. No refunds will be issued once the product has been downloaded or accessed [citation:6][citation:8].
• Physical products (books, instruments, merchandise): Returns accepted within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original packaging, and returned at the customer's expense. Refunds will be processed after inspection, minus a 20% restocking fee [citation:6].
• Damaged or defective products: Notify us within 7 days of receipt, and we will arrange for a replacement or full refund, including return shipping costs [citation:6].

Registration & Miscellaneous Fees

• One-time registration fee: ₹1,000 – Non-refundable under any circumstances [citation:7].
• Late payment fee: ₹50 per day after a 7-day grace period [citation:5].
• Rejoining fee: If you take a break and wish to rejoin within 3 months, a ₹500 rejoining fee applies [citation:7].

Exceptional Circumstances

Refund Process & Timeline

• Credit/debit card payments: Refunds will be credited to the original card within 7-15 business days, depending on your bank's processing time [citation:9].
• UPI/Net banking: Refunds will be processed to the original account within 5-7 business days.

Processing times may vary based on your financial institution's policies.

Cancellation by Kalpanaad Music Academy

• Insufficient enrollment: If a course does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, we may cancel it up to 7 days before the start date. You will be notified via email and offered a full refund or transfer to an alternative course [citation:8][citation:10].
• Instructor unavailability: If an instructor becomes unavailable, we will make every effort to provide a qualified substitute. If a substitute cannot be arranged, affected sessions will be rescheduled [citation:5].
